Truagh scoring burst downs Rock Sarsfields
A Truagh scoring blitz, which yielded 3-4 in the space of ten extraordinary minutes at the start of the second half, proved decisive as Truagh produced a high level of skill and ultimately proved too clinical in front of the posts and secured the victory on a scoreline Truagh 5-13 Rock Sarsfields 0-6.
The game was played on an overcast, but fine evening for football and there had been little or nothing to separate the teams during the first twenty minutes but then everything changed when Truagh blasted home goals on the 24th and 29th minutes respectively to take a seven point lead going in at the interval Truagh 2-5 Rock Sarfields 0-4.
When the game resumed the home side turned on the style and quickly opened up an unassailable lead when they scored 3-4 without reply. At this stage of the game we were struggling and a point on the 17th minute was a welcome relief but yet again it was Truagh who displayed the extra craft when they notched over further points to secure the victory and claim the two league points.
