Spot Kick Millionaire™ in association with An Post and Lucozade Sport invites your GAA/Soccer club to join the search for Ireland’s top penalty taker. During May, June and July 2014 the inaugural staging of Ireland’s first ever National penalty kick competition in aid of The National Council for the Blind kicks off around the country.
Each participating club or school is required to host their own qualifying round of Spot Kick Millionaire locally. This competition represents a fun and novel way for cash strapped clubs/schools across the country to raise vital funds for day to day running expenses or re-development work while at the same time supporting people suffering with sight loss in Ireland. With half of the €10 entry fee staying with your club/school, the bigger your event; the more your club will benefit.

HOW IT WORKS:
Your club players can join the thousands of other hopefuls in local grounds around the country to see if they have the skill, and the luck, to make it through to the Grand Finals in Dublin. All they have to do is score five penalties in a row against your own club goalkeeper to qualify. Once there, they have the chance to go all the way and play for up to €1 million!
There is also up to €100,000 for participating clubs and up to €100,000 for participating goalkeepers to be won.
There are two ways of hosting a qualifying event of Spot Kick Millionaire™
1) Run the event off quickly after a training session among your club players only or
2) Maximise the financial benefit to your club by organising an open day and involving the whole community.
Full support will be provided no matter how you decide to run the event. Here are some YouTube examples of clubs who have run both types of events:
The Leitrim Footballers The Leitrim senior county football team hosted a qualifier event after a training session and raised €190 for their team holiday fund.
The Kerry Launch Ballydonoghue GAA, Co Kerry hosted the National Launch and in doing so raised €500 for their club.
The Athy Event Rheban GAA and Athy Town FC benefited by €420 by hosting a qualifier event jointly.
Additionally, there is now a club sponsor section (€5) on the registration card for non participants, so that the club can raise funds from people in the locality prior to the event taking place. We believe every club can now raise a minimum of €1,000 for themselves regardless of size.
We guarantee that 50% of the monies forwarded from the clubs will go directly to the prize fund. This means that one lucky player, along with their associated club, will be guaranteed to walk away with a large windfall at the conclusion of the Grand Final.
Join the fun this summer and, who knows, someone from your club could kick their way to €1 million!
