Rockcorry G.F.C. Club Notes – 11/11/09

A.G.M. Forms

The nomination forms for the 2009 club A.G.M. have been posted on Monday last. All club members should now be in receipt of these forms. If any current club member does not have a copy please let Club Chairman Micheal Carroll or Club Secretary Paul Mc Keown know immediately.

Juvenile Coaches

The club is currently on the lookout for the names of people who would like to be considered for a Juvenile coaching role within the club. In accordance with the recognised procedures all coaches will have to undergo a series of courses, none too onerous, in order to be allowed coach at any level in the G.A.A. These courses are very informative and ultimately crucial in understanding how to train young footballers. If you feel you can make a valuable contribution and play your part in the development and progression of our under age talent please let us know. Further information can be obtained from Martina Mc Keown or Micheal Carroll.

Foundation Coaching Course

As regards the above there are a number of weekends approaching shortly on which the introduction level for coaches are being held. All coaches must complete this course. The courses are being held on the following weekends of Friday and Saturday the 27th and 28th November/Friday and Saturday 11th and 12th of December and Friday and Saturday 15th and 16th January. You can opt for any one of these weekends. Fridays coaching will start at 7 p.m., Saturday will start at 2 p.m. Please let us know so that we can get your names included and increase the number of excellent coaches we have at present in this club.

Challenge Match

We had a challenge match last week in Cloghan against Clones. This proved to be a useful workout for the lads and the Management expressed satisfaction at our level of performance. We would like to thank the Clones club for the game coming as it did on short notice. For the record the final score read Clones 1 -10, Rockcorry 0 -16.
