Rockcorry 1-15 Tyholland 1-8

Seniors return to Winning Ways

We erased the memory of a poor midweek performance against Carrickmacross by getting back on the winning track when we recorded a valuable win over Tyholland in the Monaghan Electrical intermediate football league.  With four or five teams competing for the last qualifying position it was vital for us to get a win and the lads achieved that with a seven point winning margin that leaves up on fourteen points in the league table with four games left to play.

The win should give us confidence and give us something positive going into next week’s encounter against Corduff. Winning form is good form and we can now focus our attention and be mentally prepared for the tough battle ahead. In fairness, we will need to up our performance a couple of notches if we are going to get over this big hurdle.

As the famous quote goes “winning is not a sometime thing, it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while. You do them right all the time. WINNING IS A HABIT”.
