Go Games Blitz Under 8

A very enjoyable and exciting Go Games was held on Saturday 10th August when our under 8 footballers travelled to Oram to take part in the blitz. This was once again a very enjoyable and successful blitz campaign and the lovely weather conditions added to the excitement with all the children from various clubs across the county having fun and displaying plenty of enthusiasm while playing our National games.

It certainly was a fun-filled and action packed couple of hours for the kids as they played matches against Oram, Toome and Ballybay and performed really well. The games provided the boys and girls an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned through our coaching academy and it was great to see them develop their skills and learn the game.

It was also wonderful to see so many parents there to support and encourage the children and a special word of mention to the hard working coaches & mentors of all the clubs who freely give up their time voluntarily on a Saturday morning to help organise and look after the future players of the club. Its people like this and many like them across the county and indeed the country that makes the Gaelic Athletic Association so great and special and we appreciate all the work they do. Well done everyone and we look forward to the next blitz with huge excitement and anticipation. Keep up the good work.
