Go Games Blitz

A very enjoyable and exciting Go Games was held on Saturday 26th April when our under 8 and under 10 footballers travelled to Sean McDermott’s to take part in the blitz. This was once again a very enjoyable and successful blitz campaign and the lovely weather conditions added to the excitement with all the children from various clubs across the county having fun.

Competing clubs on the day included Ballybay, Drumhown, Sean McDermott’s and our own bunch of wee warriors and it is always great to see a good turnout of kids perform at this level and enjoying themselves in a fun environment and that’s what’s it’s all about. It was truly a very entertaining and successful day and well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the blitz. All kids acquitted themselves exceptionally well, showing plenty of enthusiasm and displayed loads of energy and the signs are positive for a bright future.

It was also wonderful to see so many parents there to support and encourage the children and a special word of mention to the hard working coaches & mentors of all the clubs who freely give up their time voluntarily on a Saturday morning to help organise and look after the future players of the club. Its people like this that makes the Gaelic Athletic Association so great and special and we appreciate all the work you do. Well done everyone and we look forward to the next blitz with huge excitement and anticipation.

Finally, many thanks to the Sean McDermott’s club for hosting the blitz and on behalf of the club I would like to sincerely thank all the parents for their on-going commitment for travelling to the blitz and for supporting all the players. Keep up the good work.
