Under 12 Team
Well done to our under 12 team and their mentors last Saturday as they recorded their second win in the league competition. Despite Truagh notching up an impressive 2-18 it was not enough to win the game as our wee footballers proved too strong and scored a remarkable 9-6 to earn the two points. With the under 14’s in action this weekend the next game for the under 12’s is on Saturday 17th April with a home game against Fergal O’Hanlon’s at 12 noon.
Under 14 Team
Our under 14 team are in action this Saturday 10th April as they start their league campaign with a home game against Carrickmacross Emmet’s with a throw-in time of 12 noon. All players are asked to be in the dressing-rooms no later than 11.30am.
Under 16 Team
Our under 16 team had their first competitive outing of the new season last Saturday evening when they took on Cremartin at home. Played in bitterly cold conditions, it was an entertaining game with both sides producing some very good football. After a great first half performance from the lads we went in at the break leading 1-4 to 0-5. We continued to play some good football in the second half but unfortunately were unable to convert possession onto the scoreboard and only managed to score a single point. Cremartin on the other hand were able to make the most of their chances and piled on the pressure and secured the win on a score-line Rockcorry 1-5 Cremartin 3-11. Their next game is tonight (Thursday 8th April) away to Latton at 6.45pm.

Back Row (left to right): Ryan McDermott, Fergal McGeough, Gavin Lynch, Aaron Clerkin, Andrew Mulligan, Lorcan Smyth & Peter McPhillips. Front Row (left to right): Kevin McCormick, Dean Lynch, Aaron McGorman, Jason McNulty, Andrew McPhillips & Jamie McCollum.
Minor Fixtures
Due to the inclement weather conditions last week our game against Clones was cancelled. They had a BYE last Tuesday (6th April) so their next outing is a home game against Tyholland on Tuesday 13th April at 7.30pm.
Monaghan Under 21’s
Hard luck to the Monaghan Under 21 team who were defeated by Cavan in Enniskillen last Saturday.
