Seniors Back on the Winning Track
We erased the memory of a poor midweek performance last week by getting back on the winning track when we overcame Eire Og last Sunday morning. The game played at Scotstown in perfect conditions was fairly evenly contested during the first half and at the break we had a one point advantage 0-4 to 0-5. On the restart, we emerged the fresher and hungrier side and began to stamp our authority on the game and when we notched up an impressive six points in just eight minutes the game decisively swung in our favour. Eire Og battled hard till the end of the game and managed to close the deficit to three points but their revival was short-lived as we responded positively to fire over two more points to secure the win on a score-line Eire Og 0-8 Rockcorry 0-13 but more importantly we collect the two vital league points to keep us in the running for a qualifying spot. With very little separating the sides it is important that we keep the momentum going as we enter the final stages of the competition. Keep up the good work lads.
