Annual General Meeting
Just a reminder that our annual general meeting takes place this Thursday 29th November in the club rooms at 7.30pm sharp. The annual general meeting is one of the most important meetings of the year and ALL club members, parents and supporters are encouraged to attend this vital meeting to reflect on the last twelve months and to look ahead for the upcoming year. It is also a time to elect a new management committee and to communicate with members about how the club is functioning. As always refreshments will be served on the night and we look forward to seeing you all there.
Annual Yearbook “A Year to Remember”
All I want for Christmas is “A Year to Remember” which goes on sale on Thursday 29th November when it will be officially launched at our Annual General Meeting. This year’s annual yearbook is loaded with over 300 pages, full colour, and retains the format used in previous editions and focuses on all aspects of GAA within the club during what can only be described as a Superdocious year. It is packed full of match reports, action shots, team photographs from our senior team right down to the future stars of the club and other interesting articles. There have been many memorable moments during the year with all our teams, players and club members providing us with wonderful memories and I hope the selection of images that I have chosen from the many games and other events held during 2012 will leave a lasting impression on you. This yearbook is a must for any Rock supporter and copies will be on sale at the AGM.
If anyone is interested in ordering a copy of the DVD please send me a text message to 086-1041165 or alternatively send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your details and I shall put your name down on the list.
A foundation level coaching course will take place in Killanny on Friday 30th November from 7 – 10pm and on Saturday 1st December between 9.30 – 5pm. We would appreciate it if current players, retired players and parents could give this serious consideration and if you are interested please contact our youth officer Pascal Smyth on 086-8161028 for further information.
Rockcorry & Dartry Community Alert committee will be holding their annual sponsored walk on Saturday 1st December. This group of dedicated people from the village will get their walking boots on to raise money for the senior citizen’s Christmas party. Sponsorship cards are currently in circulation and I would urge everyone within the parish and surrounding communities to support them.
Christmas Tree Table Quiz
We all like to see the village looking Christmassy over the festive season and there’s nothing nicer than seeing a well-lit Christmas tree on the village green. The Christmas tree committee is holding a table quiz on Friday 7th December in St. Mary’s Hall at 8pm and I would appeal to everyone in the village to support this as generously as they can. Table of 4 costs €20 and refreshments will be served.
