Club Notes 23rd March 2010

Rockcorry 1-13  Monaghan Harps 2-10

Our reserve team played Monaghan Harps last Sunday morning and earned themselves a share of the spoils. Played in glorious sunshine we produced some wonderful passages of football particularly during the first half and should off been further ahead at the break only for two defensive errors that cost us dearly. The half time score Rockcorry 0-10 Monaghan Harps 2-3. We got off to decent start in the second half and managed to score first but unfortunately our play became scrappy and we allowed our counterparts back in to the game and by the final whistle we were fortunate to get ourselves a draw. The final score Rockcorry 1-13 Monaghan Harps 2-10. A full match report can be viewed on the website www.rockcorrygaa.ie. Attention ALL Players – Physiotherapy Treatment

The club has put in place agreements with a number of approved Physiotherapy practices to act as the clubs physiotherapist. Any injured player should contact either Tom Daly or Cormac McFadden (senior team) and Anthony Tate or Pauric Carroll (reserve team) to first report the injury and secondly to obtain a “Physiotherapy Authorisation Form”, which has to be presented to the club physiotherapist on the initial visit. This procedure will be ongoing during the year and it is in everybody’s best interest to ensure it is not abused and that it is implemented correctly.

Code of Best Practice

With the juvenile league competitions starting shortly it is important that all parents are familiar with our Code of Best Practice and that they sign the declaration form and return same to our Youth Officer Martina McKeown.

Club Membership

Club membership closes on 31st March and we would appreciate it if all club members for 2009 could renew their membership and pay the €25 to club registrar Stephen Lynch. All senior and reserve players must have their membership fee paid otherwise you are not covered under the GAA insurance injury scheme. In addition, all underage players should be registered so we would encourage all parents to pay the €5 registration fee.
