Streamline Coaches Intermediate Football League
Our senior team continued their winning ways in the Streamline Coaches Intermediate Football league with an impressive win against Tyholland last Saturday evening. While Tyholland were missing some of their inter-county ‘big-guns’ the seeds for the victory were set in the first half as we opened up a 1-9 to 0-4 lead at the interval. During the second half there were times when we took our foot off the pedal and allowed Tyholland to work their way back into the game but we were always able to respond and finished the game the strongest to win on a score-line Rockcorry 2-13 Tyholland 0-9. A sparkling performance from our team captain Paul McKeown yielded 1-4 and while there were other outstanding individual performances, the man of the match has to go to the TEAM for their overall work rate and attitude as they once again produced some high quality, high tempo football. Keep up the good work lads and we need a repeat performance this Sunday 16th May when we travel to play Currin at 7.00pm. The following Wednesday night we have a home game against Inniskeen with a throw-in time of 7.45pm. Please check out www.rockcorrygaa.ie for a full match report and action photographs of the Rockcorry v Tyholland game.
