A large crowd gathered in the clubrooms on Sunday evening for the rescheduled Annual general meeting where they were provided with detailed reports from the committee.
A reflection back on 2017 seen a busy year with the emphasis particularly towards the end off it centring around the development plans for a community centre.
Success of a number of under age teams representing the club was acknowledged, while it was accepted that the senior side had a difficult year in 2017 but all thoughts would turn to having a more positive approach in 2018.
As expected the treasurers report garnered the most attention with the club itself managing to balance the books for another year but once again it is obvious that fund raising for the day to day running of the club is a most.
The OsKaRs accounts certainly brightened up the mood as it was reported the total in so far has went beyond the expectations. With some money still coming in the figure so far was double what we had hoped.
This was possible by the amazing support show to the project by those involved, sponsors and the community and further afield that attended the night.
Further fundraising for the community centre will be required but certainly the figures so far were a welcome boost to a project that will benefit the whole community.
The election of officers seen the sitting committee remain on for another year with one or two roles to be confirmed.
