A.G.M.

The big news this week is the onset of our A.G.M. next Tuesday evening. This year’s A.G.M. in particular is a very significant and important one and we would expect all members to attend. This is your club working for you and the people of our parish therefore it is important that all club members attend and participate in the A.G.M. To paraphrase the great JFK – ask not what your club can do for you but what you can do for your club. The time for action is now so let’s get out and get involved. See you all next Tuesday 15^th. All members should have received their nomination forms by now, if not let Paul Mc Keown know as soon as possible.

Scor

Congratulations to our participants in Junior Scor who represented our club admirably in the last few weeks. Emma Mc Gorman in Solo Singing and our Quiz Team of John Greenan , Fergal Mc Geough and Lorcan Smyth bowed out at the penultimate stage and we thank them for their sublime efforts in promoting and representing our club.

Team Management

As our Senior team has concluded its participation in County Board fixtures for 2009, I would like to thank our management team of Thomas Duffy and Tom Daly. They brought great pride and enthusiasm to their job and instilled great character in the team throughout the year. We wish them both well in 2010 in particular Thomas Duffy who will be seeking new pastures to pursue his undoubted talents in the New Year.

Just an update on Tayto’s training. The Destroyer as he now calls himself has now immersed himself fully in his new boxing persona. He now informs me that he is now up to Rocky 4 in his preparation for his battle Royale. This fundraiser for the County Senior team is an event well worth supporting. Monday night 28^th December will be a sell out and further details will be appearing in this publication over the coming weeks.
